Local Wrestlers Who Placed First At The State Championships

Madison (WLUK) — Championship Saturday of the individual state wrestling tournament took place in Madison, Wisconsin, and as usual, there were several champions from Northeast Wisconsin crowned.

Girls 107: Taylor Whiting, a sophomore from Lena, defeats Ava Peters of Pulaski to win her second state title.

114 Girls – The Two Rivers In the finals, sophomore Angie Bianchi triumphs 12-0.

Finals: Girls 120: Sophomore Emjay Neumann of Milwaukee Lincoln wins 4-2

Boys 128 (D-2) Caleb Delebreau of Luxemburg-Casco wins against Oconto Falls Cole Bozile, winning 3-2

Girls 132: Lillie Banks of Menasha prevails by a score of 5-2.

Boys 138 (D-3) – Valley/Lourdes Academy Mason Carpenter of Christian won his first gold medal with a 6-2 decision; he was second in the state twice.

Boys 144 (D-1): Jacob Herm of Neenah finishes with a pin to cap a 47-0 season.

Girls 145: Harlow Skenandore of Pulaski prevails by a 5-1 vote.

Girls 152: Hailie Krueger of New London wins the third state title, becoming the first girl from Wisconsin to do so.

Boys 165 (D1): Kaukauna sophomore Liam Crook wins by a 4-1 decision to cap off an incredible season as the top seed. Additionally, the 25th-ever Kaukauna state individual champion

Boys 175 (D-1): Jake Stoffel of Appleton North wins 6-2 in the championship game to complete 42-0.

Boys 175 – Two Rivers (D-2) Justin Klinkner wins the championship with a 3-1 decision.
