Two Die After Crash and Shooting During Police Chase in St. Louis County

A high-speed police chase ended tragically on Friday afternoon in South St. Louis County, resulting in the deaths of two people. The incident occurred near the intersection of South Rock Hill and Pardee Roads.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has identified the victims as Ryan D. Phillips, 33, of St. Louis, and Delisha D. Evans, 30, from Princeton, Texas.

Both individuals were found dead after their vehicle rolled over following a police pursuit.

Details of the Incident

The chase began when police spotted the vehicle traveling eastbound on I-44 near Highway 141. The vehicle exited at Big Bend, but the driver lost control and crashed.

Witnesses reported hearing a mix of crash noises and gunfire, with one resident describing the sound as “five rapid-fire shots.”

According to Cpl. Logan Bolton of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Phillips was wanted by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Concerns were raised about Evans’ safety, who was with Phillips at the time. The exact cause of their deaths is still under investigation.
