A Missing Montpelier Woman Was Discovered Dead In Nevada; The Cause Is Being Looked Into By The Police

Nevada’s Pershing County — A deceased woman from Montpelier was reported missing in August of 2023.

Last year, Christine Passey Parker, 55, went missing and her family reported her to the Montpelier Police Department.

Authorities said she was last seen on August 6 in the Nevada Battle Mountain area.

On August 15, a hunter discovered her gray Toyota Tacoma pickup in a secluded area of Nevada; however, authorities were unable to locate her.

East Idaho News.com confirmed Monday morning with the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office in Nevada that her body has been located and that the reason of her death is being looked into by law authorities.

Although there are now few specifics available, the sheriff’s office informed EastIdahoNews.com that they anticipate sending out a news release with more details.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Chris has passed away,” said a message made over the weekend on an internet group that was looking for Parker. We appreciate everyone who shared the message, sent prayers and love, and assisted us in our search. We will now bring Chris home, even if this isn’t the conclusion we were hoping for. Please be considerate of the family’s privacy at this trying time.
