According to the boy’s mother, a Harrisburg teacher accused of pushing a kindergartener who crashed into a desk in November had also shoved another five-year-old pupil against a wall.

Eight days after police accused 56-year-old Dawna Holbert of simple assault in her classroom on November 15 at Lincoln Elementary School, located at 1601 State Street, Holbert was placed on unpaid leave on Thursday. School officials had previously had to speak with Holbert about her tone with pupils, according to the police affidavit against her. Since 2002, Holbert had been employed with the district.
