Ahead of the next snowfall, residents of Central Pennsylvania should be alert for any changes to the hours or closures of their local government offices, as well as any potential freebies.
In preparation for the storm, which is predicted to begin in central Pennsylvania in the early hours of the morning, York County officials said Sunday evening that county offices will be closed on Monday.
Mayor Wanda Williams declared on Sunday that the city of Harrisburg is providing generous leave to all employees, even if it is not closing.
To help residents keep their cars off the road during the storm, the city is also providing free parking in the municipal garage on Locust Street through Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service predicts that Franklin and Adams counties could receive up to 7 inches of snow as the storm system continues its eastward journey from the Midwest, with the majority of the storm going further south.
