BALTIMOREThe Eagles defense was on the sidelines 9-0 in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Stadium after the Ravens completed an eight-play, 82-yard drive that culminated in a touchdown pass from quarterback Lamar Jackson to tight end Mark Andrews that was 14 yards long. Safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson rallied the team and started fervently speaking to them as the Ravens had the momentum and appeared to be the prolific offense that was averaging 426.7 yards going into the game. Every player turned to face him as a huddle formed around him.

Gardner-Jonson added, “I didn’t say anything too deep.” I simply stated that we needed to relax and realize that we had four quarters and must play the game until the clock strikes zero.
