NEW YORK (AP) In the fourth quarter of Denver’s 145-118 loss to the Knicks at Ball Arena, player Russell Westbrook made an offensive gesture on the floor, for which he was fined $35,000 by the NBA on Friday.

Following a 3-pointer from the corner during Monday’s lopsided defeat, Westbrook seemed to make the gesture directly in front of the New York bench.

The Knicks had a wild start to the game, with guard OG Anunoby scoring a career-high 40 points and Jalen Brunson scoring 23 points and dishing out 17 of New York’s team record-tying 45 assists.

Westbrook led the Nuggets with 27 points after coming off the bench.
