At 9:08 p.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a weather notice for Northern Erie, Southern Erie, and Crawford County, stating that winds would persist until midnight on Wednesday.

“Over the following few hours, a powerful band of winds above will slowly travel east across northern Ohio, resulting in periods of intermittent, gusty southwest winds of 40 to 45 mph. According to the weather service, tree branches could be blown down and unsecured things could be thrown around by gusty winds.
