At 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory for Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges, and Higher Elevations of Indiana, which was in effect from 10 p.m. to Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Additionally, the weather service states that “Southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected.”
“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, “a few power outages may result and tree limbs could be blown down.” “Please report downed trees, power lines or large branches by calling 412-262-1988, posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using Twitter @NWSPittsburgh.”
