The National Weather Service issued an amended wind advisory at 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, which is good for Cambria, Blair, Somerset, and Bedford counties on Wednesday between 1 a.m. and 1 p.m.

“West winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected,” the weather service says. Before a severe cold front passes through from the north, the greatest winds will be present. As the front approaches in the afternoon, there will be snow showers and possibly a few larger squalls.

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, “a few power outages may result and tree limbs could be blown down.”

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
