The National Weather Service released an updated forecast for Washington, Greene, and Fayette counties on Wednesday at 9:01 p.m., predicting snow showers through Thursday at 5:15 a.m.
“Over the next eight hours, snow showers will move throughout parts of the region. Stronger showers can result in minor accumulations on local roads and short-lived but noticeable decreases in visibility. The possibility of quickly shifting road and visibility conditions should be communicated to drivers. The meteorological service predicts that roads, particularly bridges and overpasses, will likely turn slippery and dangerous.
