The National Weather Service issued an updated weather notice for Clarion, Jefferson, Armstrong, and Indiana counties at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, warning of snow showers through 8:30 a.m.

“At 7:30 a.m., Doppler radar tracked snow showers along a line from 14 miles northeast of Shanor-Northvue to near Brockway, or along a line from 13 miles west of Rimersburg to 20 miles east of Brookville, moving southeast at 25 mph,” according to the National Weather Service.

Punxsutawney, Brookville, Reynoldsville, Rimersburg, New Bethlehem, Sykesville, Falls Creek, Parker, Sligo, Big Run, Dayton, Strattanville, Summerville, Limestone, Rossiter, Hawthorn, Corsica, Callensburg, Timblin, and Worthville are among the places affected by the alert.

“Keep a close eye on the weather situation and be on the lookout for potentially dangerous weather conditions,” advises the weather service. During these snow showers, visibility will rapidly decrease to less than half a mile. Snow can be applied quickly, up to an inch deep. Roads can quickly get covered in snow.
