At 3:48 p.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service updated its forecast, predicting snow showers until 4:30 p.m. in Northern Center and Southern Center, as well as in Clearfield, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, and Snyder counties.
“At 3:47 p.m., a band of heavy snow was along a line extending from near Bellefonte to Tyrone and moving east at 55 MPH,” the weather service reported.
Interstate 99 from mile markers 39 to 80 is included in this. The following highways are included in this: Route 22 to Mill Creek, west of Water Street. East of Mount Union, routes 22 and 522 lead to Lewistown. Lewistown to the vicinity of Mifflintown via Routes 22 and 322. I-99 near Bellwood to State College via Route 220. Route 220 alternate at Port Matilda. Philipsburg to Lewistown via Route 322. From Lewistown, take Route 522 east of McClure. Pine Grove Mills to Pleasant Gap via State Road 26. Pine Grove Mills to Old Fort via State Road 45. Bald Eagle to Philipsburg via State Road 350. Tyrone to Water Street via State Road 453.
