At 11:19 a.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a revised weather notice for Northern Centre, Southern Centre, and Southern Clinton that called for lake effect snow through 11:45 a.m.
“At 11:18 a.m., a lake effect snow band was located over northern Centre County down through Lamar, moving east very slowlyfor those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the Bellefonte and Lock Haven exits, specifically from mile markers 167 to 177,” according to the meteorological service.
“In winter weather conditions, conditions can rapidly deteriorate,” the weather service says. Be ready for roads covered with ice or snow. To get to your destination, slow down and give yourself more time.
