In central Pennsylvania, more Wawas are opening in the new year.

The convenience store chain intends to open two new locations, 1071 Wayne Ave. in Chambersburg and 164 Maynard St. in Williamsport, on January 23 as part of its ongoing expansion.

The doors will open at 8 a.m., and at 8:30 a.m., there will be ribbon-cutting ceremonies.

In order to better serve our friends and neighbors, we are thrilled to open two more Wawa locations in central Pennsylvania in 2025, stated Dave Simonetti, senior director of store operations.

As part of an expansion announced in 2022, the convenience store business located in Delaware County intends to open over 40 locations. Lower Swatara Township, East Pennsboro Township, Dover, and York are the four locations that Wawa opened last year.

An expansion to the middle of the state seems long overdue for a Pennsylvania corporation that has over 1,000 outlets in around a dozen states, including Florida.

Wawa plans to open roughly a dozen locations in the counties of Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lycoming, Northumberland, Union, and York by the end of 2025.
