On Sunday, two former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterbacks will make their NFL debuts. It will be the first NFL game for both Seattle Seahawks wide receiver John Rhys Plumlee and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Chris Oladokun.

Oladokun has spent three seasons with the Chiefs. Oladokun, who was selected in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft by South Dakota State, was cut loose prior to the conclusion of that season’s training camp and then quickly signed by the Chiefs. There weren’t many chances for him to demonstrate his abilities with the Steelers.

He owns two Super Bowl rings during his time with the Chiefs, and he has been a member of their practice squad or roster ever since. Three years have passed since Oladokun’s debut, but he can now add tape to his portfolio as he attempts to advance in the NFL.

Plumlee has been employed by three different clubs as a wide receiver and quarterback. He has never been used solely as a wide receiver, though, until the Seahawks. Plumlee initially intended to try his hand at quarterbacking, but teams have been more interested in making him a wide receiver because of his size and outstanding athleticism.

After graduating from UCF as an undrafted free agent, Plumlee signed with the Steelers because they assured him of a quarterbacking opportunity. Plumlee would log time as a quarterback, serve as a kick returner, and fill in as a wide receiver for the remainder of the training camp.
