BALTIMORE – During the fourth quarter against the Ravens, the Eagles lost two important players.
Tight end Dallas Goedert departed the Eagles due to a knee injury, and wide receiver/punt returner Britain Covey left due to a neck ailment. The return of both players has been deemed dubious.
Cooper DeJean, a rookie cornerback, will take Covey’s place on punt returns. Goedert has been replaced by backup tight ends Grant Calcaterra and C.J. Uzomah.
This season, Covey and Goedert have both suffered from injuries. Goedert missed three games (Weeks 7-9) due to a hamstring injury before making a comeback in Week 10, and Covey missed seven games (Weeks 4–10) due to a shoulder injury and didn’t return until Week 11.
