With the AFC and NFC championship games this weekend in Kansas City and Philadelphia, respectively, the 2025 Super Bowl is still about three weeks away. On February 9, the champions of those games will square off in Super Bowl 59 at the Caesars Superdome, and tickets are selling for outrageous rates.

The trajectories of star quarterbacks Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes will once again be entwined in a high-stakes game when the Chiefs and Bills face off in the AFC playoffs for the fourth time in five seasons. Similar to their subsequent two games in the 2022 Divisional Round (42-36 in overtime) and 24 (27-24), these teams last faced off in an AFC Championship Game in January 2021. The Chiefs, the top seed, will open as 2-point favorites in the 2025 encounter, which will once again take place at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
Speaking of well-known opponents, the Commanders and Eagles are part of the NFC East division where the balance of power is obviously shifting. Philadelphia, who finished with a 14-3 regular season record in 2024, has won the NFC East in two of the last three seasons. Jayden Daniels and a young Commanders team defeated the No. 3 seed Tampa Bay Buccaneers (23–20) and the No. 1 seed Detroit Lions (45–31) on the road in the final of those three losses. As 5.5-point underdogs in Philadelphia, Washington will try to complete a road sweep of the top three teams in the NFC.
