In a regular season that ended with a 14-3 overall record and 12 victories in their final 13 games, the Eagles had far more highs than lows. Philadelphia topped the NFL in overall defense (278.4 ypg) by a wide margin and finished second in rushing (179.3 ypg), trailing only MVP candidate Saquon Barkley. QB Jalen Hurts set a new career-high passer rating of 103.7 and recorded one of his best performances in his final full game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15, completing 25 of 32 passes for 290 yards and three total touchdowns (one rushing), even though the Eagles’ passing attack wasn’t always its best.
The Packers have lost five of their six games versus the top three NFC teams, making them a difficult Round 1 matchup for the Eagles. This includes a Week 1 loss to the Eagles in Brazil, where Green Bay ran wild plays against this Philadelphia defense and Barkley scored three run touchdowns, but twice had to settle for field goals on short fields in the first quarter.
