Due to a number of injuries, Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt has been forced to miss next week’s Pro Bowl games. Throughout the season, Watt struggled with injuries to his thumb and ankle, which don’t seem to have completely healed.

Watt’s brother, J.J., mentioned the thumb injury following the ankle injury, though it’s unclear when it happened. He was significantly more troubled by the thimb ailment than the ankle one.

Watt rolled his ankle badly and fell down late against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was obviously hobbled when he played against the Baltimore Ravens just six days later. Watt never seemed completely healthy for the remainder of the season, and he wasn’t himself in the closing minutes.

He is currently experiencing the longest sack-less drought in his career as a result of the injuries. Kyle Van Noy, an edge rusher with the Baltimore Ravens, took Watt’s spot.
