Following a fantastic call with @M_ShusterAKRONGetting my first offer from the University of Akron @ZipsFB@BallCoachJoeMo is a blessing and a thank you![twitter.com/JbjJLZvfWR] @5KeepitR_E_A_L@chadshenne@EdOBrienCFB@PRZPAvic@CamboyzTraining@tdhald@RymirVaughnpic
The Indians star revealed his initial offer from Akron on X on Monday night.
Susquehanna Township’s offensive line, anchored by Evans, had players like Rahki Seville, Jarrett Kern, and Lex Cyrus.
Evans recorded 2,567 throwing yards, 29 passing touchdowns, and just four interceptions while surrounded by weapons. On the rush, he also added eight touchdowns and 357 yards.
With a six-game winning streak going into the playoffs, Evans helped Hanna finish 8-3 overall. In the end, the Indians lost to Twin Valley 47-19 in the District 3 4A quarterfinals.
Although Akron is his first official, Columbia has expressed some interest in him. It’s clear why Evans is of interest to Columbia and Akron.
He is a powerful quarterback who can deliver a deep ball with accuracy. He offers potential as a rusher and thrives when the action breaks down.
