When it counted most, the Eagles offense exploded against the Washington Commanders, an old NFC East opponent, thanks to a 60-yard touchdown run by Saquon Barkley. After a dismal 2024 season, the Philadelphia defense helped the Birds return to the Super Bowl by forcing two turnovers and making clutch saves in the second half. Jalen Hurts led the offense with skill and efficiency, completing 20 of 28 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown, and adding three running touchdowns of his own. Barkley finished with 118 yards and three touchdown runs.
With a team that had to figure out how to get through the 2024 schedule and into the 2025 playoffs, the Chiefs aim for their record third consecutive Super Bowl victory. In another game that went right down to the wire, Kansas City defeated the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game for the fourth consecutive time in the postseason. Harrison Butker’s 35-yard field goal with 3:33 left gave the Chiefs the victory, demonstrating their ability to make plays once more. With 11 carries for 43 yards and two scores on the ground and 245 passing yards and a touchdown, quarterback Patrick Mahomes put on his typical strong postseason performance.
