Salazer joins the Delaware Blue Hens, the newest Division I FBS team.
In 2024, the newest wideout for the Blue Hens was truly exceptional.
With 79 receptions, 1,597 receiving yards, and 21 receiving touchdowns, Salazer led the conference and won the Mid-Penn triple championship.
Salazer was not heavily recruited, even though his receiving numbers were good. obtaining offers from Lehigh, Colgate, and the Navy. in addition to Penn State’s preferred walk-on offer.
Salazer’s stats were a major factor in State College’s 2024 season success.
The Little Lions won their fourth consecutive District 6 6A championship after finishing the regular season 9-1. They lost to Pittsburg Central Catholic 41-19 in the quarterfinals, ending their hopes of winning the PIAA 6A state championship.
Delaware is not the only Mid-Penn celebrity to decide to call Delaware home. On Saturdays, he will be wearing the uniform of Central Dauphin East running back Jared Porter.
For a long time, Delaware has been a developing program. The Blue Hens are 26-11 and have made two trips to the NCAA Division I FCS tournament since head coach Ryan Carty took charge in 2022.
