There may be a new quarterback available to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Drake Maye, a first-round choice, appears to be the New England Patriots’ solution, but they may try to cut ties with Joe Milton, another young quarterback.
There is a growing belief that Milton will be traded this offseason, according to Greg Bedard of the Boston Sports Journal.
In the Boston Sports Journal, Bedard stated that there is a growing perception in the NFL that the Patriots are at least considering trading for Milton this summer.
After graduating from Tennessee, Milton was a raw quarterback with powerful arms. His performance in the Patriots’ one game was impressive, as he completed 75.9 percent of his passes and threw for 241 yards and one touchdown.
The quarterback alternatives available in Milton’s market are either unproven young players with potential like Trey Lance, Zach Wilson, and Justin Fields, or veterans like Kirk Cousins or Russell Wilson. However, this is just a rough estimate.
Teams might be drawn to Milton since he is younger than all of those choices and has great physical attributes.
