Carlos Santana, a legendary guitarist, recently had to cancel a run of Las Vegas shows after injuring one of his fingers in a mishap.

According to Variety, Michael Vrionis, president of Universal Tone Management, issued a statement saying, “I regret to inform you that Carlos was out taking a walk at his Kauai vacation home.”He shattered his little finger on his left hand after a severe fall. His finger needed to have pins put in it. Regretfully, he will be unable to play the guitar for around six weeks. According to the doctors, he will totally recover.

Carlos is doing great and can’t wait to return to the stage. Vrionis stated that all he needs to do is recover. Although Santana is really sorry for these postponements of his next shows, we are more concerned about his health than anything else. He hopes to see all of his admirers in the near future.

On January 22, Santana, 77, was set to start a residency at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino’s House of Blues. Through February 2, he was scheduled to perform eight gigs there. The as-yet-unannounced revised dates will honor tickets for those concerts.

Santana is well-known for songs like Smooth, Black Magic Woman, and Oye Como Va. In 1998, he was admitted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has eleven Grammy Awards to his name.

Santa passed out from heat exhaustion and dehydration on a stage in Michigan in 2022.
