Two people who ran over and chased a red fox while snowmobiling earlier this week are still wanted by the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Additionally, the prize for locating the pair has increased.
Bachleda Studios created the reward pool, which began at $250 and has since grown to $2,025. Michael Bachleda of Bachleda Studios stated on Facebook that he thinks someone is more knowledgeable about the red fox’s fate.
According to Bachleda, the reward has already surpassed $2,000. Someone is knowledgeable and deserving of this incentive for assisting us in identifying the culprits.
The incident happened in a field close to the intersection of State Route 501 and Locust Street in Heidelberg Township on the afternoon of January 20. The two suspects used snowmobiles to hunt the fox for over half an hour, according to a Facebook post from the Game Commission.
As the fox tries to flee, one of them is seen in the video running straight over it. The two are wanted for unlawfully harassing wildlife and attempting to unlawfully take a red fox, according to the Game Commission.
One of them, wearing a black and gray jacket, a silver metallic helmet, and black jeans, was driving a black snowmobile with yellow skis. The other was wearing a black jacket, a black helmet, and fluorescent orange leggings while riding a black-and-white snowmobile. The two are believed to reside in the region by the Game Commission.
Warden of Games Zach Salsgiver said WGAL that they are getting tips and are trying to sort them all out.
We’re currently basically following up on all of those leads, gathering information about those individuals, doing interviews to try to identify the specific person involved, and eliminating those who weren’t engaged. “Salsgiver said.”
