Over the weekend, Bob Bryar, the former drummer for the emo band My Chemical Romance, was discovered dead in his Tennessee home.
On November 4, the 44-year-old was last seen alive. That same day, his last social media posts were made public.
The late Chester Bennington, Linkin Park’s frontman and one of the band’s founding members, is mentioned in one of the messages made on X in the evening. At 41, Bennington committed suicide.
Linkin Park recently revealed that Emily Armstrong, a guitarist and singer for Dead Sara, will be joining them as their lead vocalist. This news sparked some criticism because of Armstrong’s connections to both convicted rapist and actor Danny Masterson and Scientology.
According to Bryan’s article, “Emily Armstrong is destroying, shredding faces, and making Chester proud.” She was the ideal selection.
She also had to cope with the initial animosity. [expletive] is difficult. Believe me. Word up.
Following the release of My Chemical Romance’s 2004 album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, Bryar first started playing drums for the band. Prior to taking Matt Pelissier’s place as My Chemical Romance’s original drummer, he worked as a sound engineer for The Used.
Before leaving in the beginning of the recording of the band’s fourth album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, Bryar continued to drum for the group through The Black Parade.
In an interview with Variety, a representative for My Chemical Romance said, “The band asks for your patience and understanding as they process the news of Bob’s passing.”
Bryar’s death has not been suspected of being caused by foul play. As at the time this report was published, the reason of death was still unknown.
