After thirty years together, popular metal band Orange Goblin is breaking up.

According to Blabbermouth, the band, which started performing together in 1995, recently declared that it will disband following its 2025 concerts.

We have decided that 2025 will be our last year together as Orange Goblin approaches its 30th anniversary, the band wrote on social media. Perhaps not forever, but who can predict what might happen in the future?

The article went on to say, “It’s been an amazing thirty years, and we have some amazing experiences and are left with magical memories.” We are all sincerely appreciative of that. As bored youths who shared a passion for heavy metal, classic rock, and punk rock, we formed the band without really knowing what it would become. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to travel extensively and to have developed a global network of friends. We have always maintained a do-it-yourself mentality and completed tasks according to our own standards, and we are happy of what we have achieved together. We believe we leave a very solid legacy of ten studio albums, each of which is a milestone that precisely captures where we were at each stage of our journey. We have never compromised to fit any particular atmosphere. We are quite proud of this.

The band claimed that it was not an easy decision to break up.

The statement went on, “We feel that now is the right time for us to focus on our families and other interests outside of the band, even though we have all dedicated 30 years of our lives to this amazing band.”
