According to police, the man who was discovered dead in his car earlier this week following a stabbing close to a Swatara Township cemetery is a Harrisburg native.
Jorge Morales, 61, was identified by Swatara Township police on Thursday as the man who was fatally stabbed Tuesday morning close to Paxtang Cemetery. According to the police, he resided in the city on North Street in the 1800 block.
Additionally, police requested the public’s assistance in identifying a guy who was with Morales on surveillance tape on Monday night, just hours before he was discovered dead in his vehicle.
Around 10 p.m., Morales was stabbed by an unidentified male in a parking lot outside of a business located at 2771 Paxton Street, according to footage captured by the establishment. According to the police, they got into Morales’ vehicle and then drove off Paxton Street.
According to authorities, Morales was discovered deceased in his vehicle at approximately 9:43 a.m. on Tuesday. An autopsy on Thursday determined that his death was a homicide.
Police claimed they discovered blood in the parking area where Morales was stabbed in addition to the video.
According to police, between 10 and 11 p.m. on Monday, CCTV saw the suspect strolling about the intersection of Paxtang Avenue and Derry Street. As of Thursday, the suspect’s gender is the only description authorities have of him.

According to police, there is a $2,000 reward offered by Dauphin County Crime Stoppers for information that results in the suspect’s apprehension.
