Investigators and the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office say that Swatara Township Police are looking into a person’s death as a homicide after their body was found at a nearby cemetery on Tuesday morning.

The DA’s office reported that the body was discovered hours after a confrontation between at least two people occurred somewhere on Monday night around the 2700 block of Paxton Street.

Just over a mile away, in the Paxtang Cemetery, investigators discovered a dead corpse and a car on Tuesday morning that they thought were related to the altercation.

Whether the body was discovered inside the car is unknown. A homicide investigation is underway into the event. The victim’s age and gender were not disclosed by the police.

On Tuesday morning, forensic and police personnel were spotted in the 2700 block of Paxton Street.

According to the DA’s office, as of Tuesday, no suspects had been named.

Swatara Township Police are anticipated to provide further details about the incident.
