PHILADELPHIA — Donte Jackson, a cornerback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, left the team’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles in the second quarter due to a back injury. Late in last week’s victory over the Cleveland Browns, Jackson sustained the injury. Although he practiced diligently all week, his ailment limited his availability toward the end of their victory one week ago.

Given his injury, Jackson’s ability to play again is in doubt. The club will use James Pierre to play the remainder of the game if he is unable to. In such scenario, their other player, Cory Trice, is not playing. He is in good health.

Despite having a team-high five interceptions, Jackson has struggled with injuries throughout the season. In addition to the back injury, he is playing through hamstring and shoulder problems.
