Pittsburgh –Due to an unspecified injury, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris was forced to leave the team’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Harris broke two tackles on a 12-yard reception before being struck from behind and colliding with the ground. After undergoing a concussion evaluation, it was concluded that his comeback was uncertain.
Harris has 15 touches on the game and has played the majority of Saturday’s offensive snaps. Throughout his career, he has never missed a game. Although he is standing on the sidelines without his helmet, the team has not yet formally classified the injury as a concussion.
For the remainder of the game, Jaylen Warren and Cordarrelle Patterson will alternate his snaps. The Steelers were hoping to establish Harris as an easy yards maker in space, so his injury throws a wrench in their plans. Warren, who has shown himself competent in those areas during the season, will take over.
