When the Pittsburgh Steelers traveled to meet the Baltimore Ravens in the group’s playoff game, linebacker Patrick Queen played with a bad case of the flu. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Queen was given four IV bags prior to the game so that he could participate.
It was more harder for him to make plays during the game since Queen was so ill, especially at a position that calls for quickness and agility.
Queen appeared to be feeling ill on camera as well. Despite this, he finished the game with ten tackles, six of which were solo. However, Queen was not playing at his best during that game, and it now makes sense why he wasn’t flying about the field like his normal self.
Next year, Queen will begin the second year of his three-year deal with the Steelers. Despite having a difficult debut season with the Steelers, Queen was a vital member of the squad this season as the defense’s green dot.
