Due to an illness, Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell did not practice on Wednesday. This was the first practice that Boswell had skipped in the entire year. Since the announcement of Boswell’s sickness, the Steelers have not signed a kicker, indicating that they anticipate his playing.

It’s unclear exactly who the Steelers would sign if Boswell is unable to play, although Matthew Wright, the kicker they had during training camp, is currently a free agent after kicking for the Tennessee Titans last week.

Boswell, who made a perfect 35 of 35 on extra point attempts and sank 41 of 44 field goal attempts, was selected a first-team All-Pro by the NFLPA on Wednesday.

Additionally, Boswell is not the only player that is dealing with a medical condition. Since Saturday, defensive lineman Cam Heyward has been dealing with the flu. Regardless of their current sicknesses, both are anticipated to play against the Baltimore Ravens. He played despite the flu against the Cincinnati Bengals.
