BALTIMORE –It’s possible that the Pittsburgh Steelers secondary suffered yet another setback. The team initially believed that star cornerback Joey Porter Jr. had a calf injury when he exited the game, but after the game, they determined that it was actually a knee injury. Porter was experiencing knee pain as a result of the injury, according to a team representative.
Derrick Henry, a running back for the Baltimore Ravens, sustained the injury while jogging. Henry is taken out by Porter, but Porter’s knee is smashed into the floor. He hobbled to his feet and left the game.
Because it was such a crucial game, Porter attempted to leave and come back after halftime, but he was removed following the drive. The squad took him to the locker room since he was unable to return.
The Steelers are concerned that Porter has a PCL injury, according to sources who spoke to PennLive. Jaylen Warren, a running back, also sustained a PCL injury against the Los Angeles Chargers earlier this season. The Steelers are worried that Porter has sustained a similar issue, as he missed two games due to it.
The other player that had an injury was Ben Skowronek. He had intermittent availability the remainder of the way due to a hip injury, but he did make it back.
