The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Wednesday that Miles Killebrew, their star special teams player, has been selected to the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive year. Following special teams selection Brandon Schooler’s injury-related withdrawal, Killebrew will travel to Orlando as an alternate selection.

After making the first team All-Pro the previous season, Killebrew was chosen as the special teams representative for the NFLPA’s All-Pro team this season. Killebrew was selected first overall in the AFC for special teamers based on fan votes.

With 13 special teams tackles this past season, Killebrew followed up an outstanding 2023 campaign by placing in the top five in the NFL for special teams tackles.

He has gained recognition as one of the NFL’s top punt blockers, which has won him the award. The Steelers would deploy Killebrew as a part of their goal line defense to strengthen their run defense in that area of the field in addition to his captaincy and special teams responsibilities.
