Pittsburgh –The Pittsburgh Steelers are aware that George Pickens will probably miss their game against the Philadelphia Eagles. They will probably also be without DeShon Elliott, a standout safety.

Damontae Kazee, the backup safety, made a suggestion that he and Cam Sutton would be prepared to step up and would largely assume Elliott’s responsibilities.

“At the moment, Cam and I will be playing our roles and covering for him,” Kazee stated.

Instead of playing back at single-high safety in Elliott’s absence, Minkah Fitzpatrick might step into the box and return to his 2023 role. But since Kazee is only in his third season with the Steelers, he and Fitzpatrick should have no trouble getting along.

When asked if playing in the box would be different, Kazee replied, “No, man.” I’ve been here for three years. I believe Mink and I are adept at disguising things and giving teams a variety of looks. We ought to be able to accomplish it.

With an average of almost 190 yards per game, the Eagles rank as the NFL’s top running offense. Due in great part to defensive reinforcements, Pittsburgh has only given up 91.5 yards per game, but Elliott has been the driving force behind their progress over the previous campaign.
