In preparation for their game against the Baltimore Ravens, the Pittsburgh Steelers are transferring their Wednesday practice from the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex to Acrisure Stadium. The Steelers want to practice outside because snow is predicted in Baltimore, but the current state of their complex’s outside field is only passably good.

The area is currently covered with tarps and has heaters all around it. It would not be the best field for practice, therefore the Steelers will go to their outdoor stadium to replicate the windy conditions they would see in addition to having a better practice surface.

Before traveling to Buffalo to play the Bills, Pittsburgh also done same the previous season. They anticipated that by doing that, they would be able to escape the cold weather and potentially encounter snow in Buffalo as well.

As the snow continues to fall in Pittsburgh, the Steelers will get a taste of the wintry weather. Nearly 10 inches of snow have fallen in the area during the past three days, and it might keep falling when the Steelers are practicing in the afternoon.
