Against the Cleveland Browns, defensive tackle Montravius Adams has been ruled out by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Adams has been out of surgery for more than six weeks and is still attempting to recover from a torn meniscus. The club is still wary of him, though, and following two consecutive full practices, it doesn’t appear that Adams is that far away.
But this season, the Steelers have been wary about injuries, particularly when a guy like Adams has missed six or more games. The Steelers would want to have him return, but they need him for the final stretch. He hasn’t played since Week 7.
George Pickens, the team’s designated wide receiver, is also doubtful due to a hamstring issue. Pickens should be able to suit up because he did spoke to the media and seemed to be moving around well, but the team will wait to see how his hamstring responds over the next days.
Cornerback Cory Trice Jr., outside linebacker Alex Highsmith, and wide receiver Calvin Austin III were all cleared from the injury list and are scheduled to play against the Browns.
