The contract of wide receiver Scotty Miller of the Pittsburgh Steelers expired. Miller may now sign with any team as a free agent after his contract expired. Late in the season, the Steelers cut Miller and added him back to the practice squad. Despite being promoted for the team’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, he did not participate.

Miller joined the 53-man roster after signing with the organization in May. He has been a member of the team all year, filling in for other players who have been injured. In 13 games, he has only five receptions for 69 yards. Additionally, Miller is Calvin Austin III’s backup punt returner.

Although he is unlikely to be signed by the Steelers, his familiarity with Arthur Smith’s plan allowed him join the team with a productive training camp.
