BALTIMORE –Another wide receiver has left the Pittsburgh Steelers. Due to a hip injury, Ben Skowronek’s ability to play again is in doubt. After sliding to make a grab with Russell Wilson, Skowronek sustained the injury. After the play, he was spotted rushing into the dressing room.

George Pickens is already out for the Steelers due to a hamstring issue. Skowronek is one of their five current wide receivers, although they also have four active tight ends. Because they rely so heavily on 12 and 13 personnel in their offense, they could deploy those players rather than the wide receivers.

Skowronek had two catches for 25 yards in the game and is becoming into a versatile member of the Steelers’ running game in addition to becoming a reliable receiver. His versatility as a wing, fullback, and other position has given Pittsburgh a lot of ground-based alternatives. Not only would that variety be lost without him, but their scheme’s versatility may also decline.
