Roman Wilson, a wide receiver, might not return to the Pittsburgh Steelers this season. Wilson hasn’t returned to practice since he aggravated his hamstring during practice in November because he hasn’t been cleared to return from injured reserve.
Wilson’s prospects are more of a 2025 thing than something that will help the Steelers finish this season, according to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac, who expressed uncertainty about his comeback in his most recent discussion.
“He has missed almost the entire season and all of training camp. He is not prepared, thus he will not play. “Next year,” stated Dulac.
Wilson may recover from his hamstring injury, but his one game appearance and the high ankle sprain that kept him out of the team for almost two months may put him so far behind the others that it may not be wise to use him at all right now.
Although injuries have ruined Wilson’s rookie season, the Steelers had high hopes for Wilson, their third-round choice out of Michigan, and believed he could step in as a solution in the slot at some point this season.
