For the first time in his career, Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell was formally voted a First-Team All-Pro on Friday. It is not surprising that Boswell broke records during a historic season for him after such a fantastic one.
But Boswell is the first kicker in Steelers history to be selected to the First Team All-Pro. The two players achieved some significant milestones alongside Cam Heyward, and Boswell is embarking on an unprecedented chapter in the team’s history.
This season, he went 41 of 44 and made all 35 of his extra-point tries. Since Brandon Aubrey, the second-closest kicker, was not very close, Boswell easily won the honor.
Additionally, Boswell was selected for his second career Pro Bowl. In addition to surpassing his own previous record of 36 field goals set during the 2017 season, his 41 makes are the most in Steelers franchise history.
