According to Ryan Fowler of the Draft Network, Nick Jackson, a linebacker for Iowa, is a target for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are one of the teams that Jackson has met with during the Hula Bowl, the first all-star tournament of the offseason.
Jackson played regularly for the Hawkeyes during his tenure with the team and has the second-most tackles in FBS history (547). Jackson eventually became the defense’s play-caller and captain.
Why, therefore, is Jackson not more well-known in the media or on the scouting trail? According to the Iowa website, the graduate student is 6 feet, 235 pounds, but most teams may not consider him a top prospect because of his small stature.
From 2022 to 2024, the native of Atlanta, Georgia, made the ACC and Big 10 second or first teams every season after transferring from Virginia in 2023.
The Steelers also met with running back Peny Boone during the Hula Bowl, making this their second reported meeting there.
