According to Ryan Fowler of the Draft Network, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt met during the Shrine Bowl.

The Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears, and Green Bay Packers were among the teams Croskey-Merritt visited with in addition to the Steelers.

Due to eligibility concerns, Croskey-Merritt missed almost all of his previous season at Arizona. Nonetheless, he excelled at three distinct levels during his career, first at Alabama State, then at New Mexico, and lastly at Arizona.

Croskey-Merritt only played one game last season, but in that one game, he destroyed New Mexico, scoring 106 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown.

Last week at the Shrine Bowl, Croskey-Merritt was outstanding, rushing for 97 yards on 11 rushes. He received recognition for it, and it appears that the running back attracted attention and may be moving up the draft boards.

With Najee Harris poised to enter free agency, the Steelers might use a running back. Jaylen Warren, a running back, is likewise a restricted free agent.
