Pittsburgh –Three important players were absent from the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice on Wednesday, which may cause some issues with their top players’ availability against the Philadelphia Eagles.
George Pickens, the team’s star wide receiver, did not practice on Tuesday after head coach Mike Tomlin deemed him doubtful. Mike Williams, who had just taken a veteran’s day off, was also absent for Pittsburgh. Pickens will probably miss this week and possibly more due to a grade two hamstring injury.
DeShon Elliott, a safety, did not practice due to hamstring soreness. There is no assurance that Elliott will be on the field on Sunday, but Tomlin sounded more hopeful that he will play. Before determining whether Elliott will play, the Steelers will take their time with him.
Larry Ogunjobi, a defensive tackle, is battling a groin injury sustained during the Browns game. On Wednesday, he did not practice or return to the game. After two weeks of practice, Montravius Adams, who had been on injured reserve, was a full participant once more and appeared to be on schedule to make a comeback.
