Pittsburgh –Due to their game on Wednesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers had to produce a simulated practice report even though they didn’t practice on Sunday. Fortunately, the Steelers listed wide receiver George Pickens as a limited participant in that simulated report. Pickens may play against the Kansas City Chiefs because it was the first time he has taken part in practice in more than three weeks.
Pickens was limited, as were defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi, safety DeShon Elliott, and cornerback Donte Jackson. That might indicate that those players are also scheduled to suit up at the beginning of the week.
In the meantime, quarterback Justin Fields, who sustained an abdominal injury against the Philadelphia Eagles, was missing practice. He hasn’t worked out since getting hurt.
Cornerback Joey Porter Jr. (knee) and wide receiver Ben Skowronek (hip) were the two new ailments that surfaced against the Baltimore Ravens. Additionally, linebacker Tyler Matakevich appeared with a knee ailment.
Veteran rest days were anticipated for six additional veterans.
