Pittsburgh –After missing the Pittsburgh Steelers’ game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a hip injury, wide receiver Ben Skowronek is expected to make a comeback against the Cincinnati Bengals. Skowronek was hurt while making a sliding grab against the Baltimore Ravens.
Skowronek attempted to play again but was unable to do so, so the Steelers had to rule him out of the game against the Chiefs the following week as well. As Skowronek makes his comeback to the field, Pittsburgh hopes his injury won’t persist.
In addition to becoming a reliable receiver, Skowronek has developed into a versatile member of the Steelers’ run game, recording two catches for 25 yards in the Ravens game. His versatility as a wing, fullback, and other position has given Pittsburgh a lot of ground-based alternatives. That versatility is expected to return with him in the lineup, particularly as the Steelers begin to move toward more affordable personnel packages.
