Tony Pauline, an NFL insider for SportsKeeda, stated that the Pittsburgh Steelers might decide to chase quarterback Joe Flacco in free agency. The Steelers will probably want to look for a veteran backup quarterback, and Flacco might be someone they are interested in. However, it would be more of a backup quarterback role.

I’ve been informed to watch the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, and San Francisco 49ers as potential bidders for Flacco throughout the offseason, as they’re all looking for a seasoned backup, Pauline wrote.

Due to Anthony Richardson’s injury or benching, Flacco spent the previous season in and out of the starting lineup. He went 2-4 in his six starts for the team during the season and finished with 1761 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions.

After played Flacco with the Baltimore Ravens for years, the Steelers are far more aware of his abilities than almost any other NFL team. Flacco even had many appearances in the playoffs. As the quarterback for the Ravens, Flacco guided the team to a Super Bowl victory. He has also played for the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets.
