Pittsburgh –According to head coach Mike Tomlin, defensive tackle Montravius Adams and cornerback Cory Trice of the Pittsburgh Steelers may both play against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Trice has been sidelined since Week 3 due to a strained hamstring. The Steelers will lose Trice for the season if he is not activated from injured reserve by Thursday. Last week, he had two last practices before being promptly ruled out. To create room for Trice’s return, the Steelers would need to make a roster change.
Prior to the team’s game against the New York Jets, Adams tore his meniscus during practice. He underwent surgery following the injury, and a little more than a month later, he was already running. He could go back now, but the Steelers wanted to give him time to recover before hurriedly putting him back on the field. While Keeanu Benton continues to start at nose tackle for the Steelers, Dean Lowry has been their backup.
